Time to Start Gardening!
I got the chance to visit my friend’s nursery in Elma. What a gorgeous array of hanging baskets and potted flowers. Oh what fun I had…..picking out all of the different flowers to add some color to my garden. If you feel like going for a drive and getting your garden started, I suggest visiting the “Green Thum Nursery”, it is a little over an hour away south of Tacoma off of exit 101. The prices are great and you won’t be dissappointed. I have always related May 1st to flowers because as a child we would place fresh picked flowers in a basket, go to the neighbor’s front door, ring the bell and run. They would open the door to a bit of cheer! Too bad this tradition has never stuck over the years. It is those simple things in life that create memories!
